In the role of Senior Android Software Engineer, the key responsibilities will be to design, code, and test Android Mobile Applications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Implement requirements on Android apps
Follow internal software development procedure in compliance with medical regulations
Develop automated unit tests
Write and update design documentation
Interface with software test to ensure high quality product
Propose alignment enhancements to the apps to improve sustainability
Provide technical leadership
Eager to collaborate and learn from top tier principal engineers
Actively seeks discussions for design direction when direction is not obvious
Ability to work in a structured corporate company in a regulated industry
High degree of diligence in documentation, testing and coding.
Ability to understand company intent for the application and align programming
Must have strong communication skills to discuss tradeoffs between design options.
Functional Description: Technical Individual Contributors
Plans, designs, develops and tests software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products including cloud-based or internet-related tools. Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or Internet-related computer programs. Using current programming language and technologies, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications. Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
- Possesses broad understanding of technical principles and theories. Ability to synthesize external data and research findings for application that may impact technical objectives.
- Demonstrates successes in technical proficiency and independent thought. Works on complex problems in which analysis of situations or data requires an indepth evaluation of various factors. Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
Experience and Education Requirements:
- Typically requires a Bachelors degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 5-8 years related experience or Masters degree and 2-5 years equivalent industry experience or a PhD and 0-2 years experience.
- The Workplace Type for this role is Flex. Based on the nature of your position you will be working onsite approximately 2-3 days per week from collaborative space and hoteling desks at our sites. You will need to be located within commuting distance (typically 75 miles/120km) of your assigned site.
