Director, Banking of Products Sioux Falls South Dakota
We are looking for an entrepreneurial individual who will manage the addition of digital banking products to our suite of direct-to-consumer offerings. As Director of Banking Products, you will become our subject matter expert, working with internal and external resources to develop and deliver checking accounts, personal savings accounts, and debit card solutions as an extension to existing brands. This position welcomes innovation and will provide you with the power to shape product vision, strategy, and roadmap.

The ideal candidate will bring a deep and holistic understanding of traditional banking products and the digital delivery of these products. Strong interpersonal, organizational, technical, and creative problem-solving skills will be key as you work with other leaders in the organization to integrate these banking solutions into a cohesive consumer product offering. Requires strong multi-business unit stakeholder management. Must work well in a dynamic, complex environment and under deadline pressures.
The Director of Banking Products has responsibility for decision making and prioritization, working with bank partners, legal, compliance, marketing, risk, and technical leaders to convert the product vision into a well-managed development roadmap with a set release cycle.
Drive the vision forward. Develop product features, requirements, strategy, and release roadmap.
Manage and own the product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical execution and beyond.
Lead in the product functional design based on an intimate knowledge of the customer and banking product suite.
Enable analytics-driven decision making to further evolve the products and their usage.
Evangelize the product both internally and externally and shepherd products through the development process.
Interact with customers and hold focus groups as necessary to identify needs, opportunities, gaps, and solve problems.
Brainstorm and negotiate effectively with various stakeholders to continuously define feature priority and existing capabilities.
Establish the products goals; define and review success metrics.
5-10 years in product management and delivery, preferably in the retail banking industry.
A good balance of technical knowledge and business acumen with a proven track record of driving digital banking innovations, to include both web and mobile app integration.
An established background in successfully launching software or services in partnership with other business units.
Ability to create wireframes and write detailed business requirements.
Understanding of the retail banking compliance and regulatory landscape.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence, and an ability to articulate desired product functionality.
High degree of organization, individual initiative, and personal accountability.
An ability to solve complex problems and a highly analytical approach.
Comfortable in defining reusable platform capabilities / white label for multi-client use.
